Moody Gardens: Holiday sights, sounds, smells and snow will fill the air at Moody Gardens from Nov. 18 to Jan. 1 during the tenth annual Festival of Lights. Santa Claus will parachute in Nov. 12 for the grand lighting of the mile-long, million-light trail, which is one of the largest and most popular holiday lighting events on the Gulf Coast. Moody Gardens will commemorate the festival’s tenth anniversary with more than 100 sound-enhanced, animated light scenes along the trail as well as live entertainment, holiday films and the area’s only outdoor ice skating rink. Guests can also take pictures with Santa and choose from a selection of holiday films in the MG 3D Theater.
