NEW ORLEANS D-DAY MUSEUM

March 17, 2010

Solomon Victory Theater -
"Beyond All Boundaries",
A 4-D attraction.  A 120-ft Wide Screen and more to make viewers
feel they are actually in the war.  A large vintage radio broadcasts
news of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  A B-17 nose cone descends
from the ceiling during a bombing sequence.  An anti-aircraft gun
rotates and appears to fire above the crowd.  A 25-ft guard tower
goes up from a pit below the stage.  Six "Dragons Teeth" tank traps
appear during D-Day.  "Beyond the Boundaries" illustrates the
global reach of World War II, crisscrossing a blie-green earth, going
from battle to battle. The whistle of bullets and crackle of flames are
enhanced by full surround-sound.  Vibrating seats add to the roar
and rumble of tanks at the Kasserine Pass.  Near the end, a flash of
bright light fills the theater to portray the atomic blast at Hiroshima.

THE STAGE DOOR CANTEEN  -- "Let Freedom
Swing!" is a eight-person revue bursting with period costumes and
music, including "Rosie the Riveter", "The Son-of-a-Gun Who Picked
on Uncle Sam" and "I've got a Girl in Kalamazoo."
